Hi all, I wonder if anyone has installed the windows media player installer for OSX. I have acquired the SIT from 2 sources (APC Magazine, and Microsoft website) and the installer always fails with a numeric code saying it could not find a file.
This is similar to a problem I had with the ICQ Installer, and in that case I found out that if I installed onto an HFS+ filesystem the installer completed successfully, but it would not install on my UFS root FS. This trick however doesn't seem to work with the Windows Media installer. I am guessing that it tries to install at least some files into the /System directory which in my case is UFS. I don't understand why the host FS should make a difference (Pretty bad programming of the installer if it does).
