Hello, This is off topic since it's not 100% fink related. Does anyone know of a good online XWindows reference? I've got fink and many packages loaded including XWindows, IceWM, Python, TCL/TK, ... all via fink.
I'm connecting to our Linux (Mandrake) box down the hall but I'm having problems running apps on it like tkcvs. I'm sure it's a simple problem but not being XWindows literate I need to bone up on it. I'm getting errors like: "Application initialization failed: no display name and no $DISPLAY environment variable" I assume I have to set this on the host (Linux) box and not me as the client (Mac OS X.1.3) Thanks.
