are you by chance using the Fink 0.9.10 from unstable CVS? That would
explain why Fink tries to use Storable: we added a package cache that
uses storable to speed up Fink quite a lot (reading the package cache
only takes 2-3 secs over here compared to the previous 10-60 secs to
read the full database)
Anyway, I think this problem will neither occur with the Fink
storable-pm nor with one installed via CPAN normally either. It
probably is indeed caused by your "playing" with Perl, so to say :-)
