The website says if you're unsure which version of Fink you have, run
"/sw/bin/fink --version" in a Terminal window. (Unless you explicitly
installed Fink elsewhere, of course.)
[bcox@localhost:~]$ fink --version
Package manager version: 0.9.11
Distribution version: unknown
which doesn't correspond with anything on the upgrade matrix page. I
thought I was up to date (OSX10.1.4 with periodic fink upgrades via
dselect).
Could someone advise as to what I've currently got (why is
distribution version unknown) and how to upgrade to latest?
Current installation Upgrade method
Fink official binary distribution, version 0.3.x
Update normally through dselect: Choose "[U]pdate", then "[I]nstall".
Fink official binary distribution, version 0.2.x
Use the 10.1 Upgrade Kit.
