Hi,
I tried lyx1.2 again today, after fink update-all.
There is still a problem with figures:
When I include a postscript figure and compile within lyx
using pdflatex, the program is clever enough to launch
ps2pdf to convert that figure to PDF. The output of ps2pdf
is put in the same directory as the original file, but then
the pdflatex compiler can't find the file because it looks
for the pdf file in the /tmp directory... I tried telling lyx not
to use the /tmp directory but that didn't help.
My guess is that lyx should be calling ps2pdf with the
option -outfile=/tmp/lyxdir... (proper tmp-directory name),
and I'm not sure if I can change that manually. It should
be configured to do that "out of the box", if possible.
I also still have the problem that lyx 1.2 doesn't recognize
escape sequences, even if I tell it not to override X-dead
keys. There is no other key that is mapped to escape, either.
This all works in lyx 1.6, so I still went back to the old version
for now.
