Thinking that I knew what I was doing I removed the gnome-vfs and gnome-vfs-shlibs .deb files, assuming that I could just rebuild them. I got the tarball (fink fetch) for gnome-vfs and tried to build it (fink build). There was a 1.0.4-2 version in /sw/fink/debs and in /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main - there were also 1.0.3-5 versions of gnome-vfs, gnome-vfs-shlibs, and gnome-vfs-dev in /sw/fink/debs and /sw/fink/dists/stable - the version on the tarball was 1.0.3-5. Now fink complains that it can't build gnome-vfs-1.0.4-2 because no package description is available.
Yes, I realize that I should have mv'd the .debs instead of rm'ing them. Any suggestions that might help me extricate myself the mess that I've created?
