Someone correct me if this a somewhat inelegant fix (it probably is) but rm -rf'ing /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/ and a fsck to make sure the filesystem's ok would probably be the first thing to do in finding out what's wrong? Or if the .deb file is hosed just nuke that and let fink rebuild it, but the .deb seems ok (to me anyway) it's getting mad while doing one if it's scripted processes.
