I tried this, but when I ran plain "fink selfupdate", it didn't find anything to change (no packages to install). I tried "fink update-all" again and it still hangs at texinfo. I've emailed the package maintainer too, in case it's not been updated to point to the CVS server yet. As of yesterday I believe the package would have been removed from the site listed right now.
I'm adding this to the fink-users list too. The only additional info not listed in this post is that I've already checked the sources.list and it lists the correct cvs servers and matches what's listed on http://fink.sourceforge.net/news/bindist_move.php
Any more ideas?

Retrying doesn't work (the above repeats) and giving up ends the entire process putting me back at my local prompt. I'm going to try to update the sources list manually based on the email (see here for more info on updating manually- http://fink.sourceforge.net/news/bindist_move.php ) we were sent a week or so ago, but wanted to point this out because I don't think that after running the selfupdate that fink should be looking where it's looking for this file.
