I have played with maxima and saw some bugs:
Some built-in paths are not right, for example
(C1) example(laplace);
Could not find `/sw/doc/manual.demo' using paths in FILE_SEARCH_DEMO
(combined values:
[/sw/share/maxima/5.9.0pre-cvs/{demo,share}/###.{dem,dm1,dm2,dm3,dmt}] )
-- an error. Quitting. To debug this try DEBUGMODE(TRUE);)
manual.demo is in fact in /sw/share/maxima/5.9.0pre-cvs/demo/ and not in
/sw/doc/.
(C2) plot3d(2^(-u^2+v^2),[u,-5,5],[v,-7,7]);
zsh: command not found: omplotdata
This one works inside xmaxima, but not from the command line. The
omplotdata executable is in /sw/lib/maxima/5.9.0pre-cvs/
If this gets fixed, I will try to fix the texmacs interface for maxima
which right now does not work. When it works, it is very nice. Here is a
