I have recently installed KDE and was eager to try it out. I added "startkde" to me .xinitrc file and thought it would be fine. Well, KDE begins to start, it even asked me to supply my country and language preferences before showing startup screen. It gets to the "loading peripheral" (the mouse icon) stage of startup and then goes no where. I just get a blank screen. No Panel, No windows, no nothing. Just a blank gray X11 screen while I run "Full Screen" Xdarwin, and just my normal OS X desktop while in "Rootless" mode. Am I missing something in the .xinitrc file? If any of you people could offer some insight into this problem, I would be very appreciative.
