Okay. Gots me two scenarios, and wondering if these will work. I currently use a number of fink apps on my webserver, and am trying to plan for Jaguar and the whole gcc thing.
1) If I fink remove everything, and then fink reinstall everything, my customized config files for apache, etc.... will they still be in place and ready to go, or will I have to recreate those? 2) Assuming that instead of the above, I just highlight everything in fink commander (or manually type it all out) and fink rebuild, and then, when Ithat is done, fink reinstall everything, theoretically overwriting them with nice fresh new gcc-compliant . My question is, If the fink rebuild command is run with every installed package listed, is it smart enough to do it all in the right order? So that if A depends on B depends on C, it will rebuild A with the new gcc, then B, then C last? 3) Please tell me someone smarter than me will have a way to automate this so that everything will be rebuilt if needed in the right order without losing configuration files and with a minimum of downtime. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
