Nope. There are 2 trees, stable and unstable, and they are "distributed" through CVS. The binary release (like Fink 0.4.0 or whatever) is a sort of snapshot-in-time of the stable tree, so when you install that Fink 0.4.0 dmg, it gives you stable at that time, and then a selfupdate-cvs will update it to the latest stable package list. You can then edit fink.conf to enable the unstable tree, and do another selfupdate-cvs and you will be able to see the latest unstable packages. -- Ben Reed a.k.a.
