Oops. My mistake. No, actually it was the July Dev Tools (OS 10.2) that I installed first and then the update (August Dev update) and not August and then September. Sorry about the confusion.
It was suggested on the darwin-development list to delete /Developer, /usr/include/gcc, /usr/lib/gcc, /usr/libexec/gcc and then reinstalling the 10.2 Dev Tools. I'm going to give this a try. It's unfortunate that there's not a easier way to do this. (Thanks Apple!) The other options suggested are to back everything up, reformat, reinstall. Pity. I'm feeling that Apple is becoming more and more like MS. Thanks.
