I've been trying to use fink to install gv, xdvi, and some other
programs that want to install type1inst-0.6.1. Fink goes to
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/X11/xutils/ to get the gzipped tar
file. The problem (I think) is that sunsite.unc.edu changed and the
ipaddress is no longer valid. It's now www.ibiblio.org. There's still
a link to a sourceforge mirror, but fink isn't going there. Here's the
message fink gives.

The following 3 additional packages will be installed:
  system-ghostscript system-tetex type1inst
Do you want to continue? [Y/n] y
curl -f -L -s -S -O
ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/X11/xutils/type1inst-0.6.1.tar.gz
curl: (28) Connection aborted
### execution of curl failed, exit code 28
Downloading the file "type1inst-0.6.1.tar.gz" failed.

I've tried nosing around the mirror site
umn.dl.sourceforge.net/fink/direct_download/dists/fink-0.4.0/main/
source/x11 to download type1inst-0.6.1.tar.gz, but we "Others" don't
have permission to read it.

I'd think others have encountered the same problem. What's a simple
work around?

Thanks,
Gary Rosner
