I had emacs21 installed and it seemed to being OK. Then I went through the process of upgrading to experimental CVS version of fink for 10.2
When I got to the "cvs update-all" stage, it said emacs21 needed updating. However the update fails with: > ./emacs -q -batch -f list-load-path-shadows > make[1]: *** [emacs] Illegal instruction > (export PARALLEL; PARALLEL=0; cd leim; make all \ > CC='gcc' CFLAGS='-g -O2' CPPFLAGS='-I/sw/include' \ > LDFLAGS='-L/sw/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib' MAKE='make') > if [ -d quail ]; then true; else make quail; fi > if [ -f quail/CCDOSPY.elc ]; then true; else \ > > EMACSLOADPATH=/Volumes/Local/sw/src/emacs21-21.2-9/emacs-21.2/leim/../ > lisp ../src/emacs -batch --no-init-file --no-site-file --multibyte -l > /Volumes/Local/sw/src/emacs21-21.2-9/emacs-21.2/leim/../lisp/ > international/titdic-cnv \ > --eval '(batch-titdic-convert t)' -dir quail > /Volumes/Local/sw/src/emacs21-21.2-9/emacs-21.2/leim/CXTERM-DIC; fi > make[1]: *** [quail/CCDOSPY.elc] Error 132 > make: *** [leim] Error 2 > ### execution of failed, exit code 2 > Failed: compiling emacs21-21.2-9 failed Note: /sw is a symbolic link to /User/Local/sw, so fink is installed in the standard place, despite what it looks like from above CrashReporter says: > Date/Time: 2002-09-13 16:10:25 +1000 > OS Version: 10.2 (Build 6C115) > Host: gromit > > Command: emacs > PID: 286 > > Exception: EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (0x0002) > Code[0]: 0x00000002Code[1]: 0x0000171c > > Thread 0 Crashed: > #0 0x0000171c in start > #1 0x8fe19154 in _dyld_start > > PPC Thread State: > srr0: 0x0000171c srr1: 0x0008d030 vrsave: 0x00000000 > xer: 0x00000000 lr: 0x8fe19154 ctr: 0x0000171c mq: 0x00000000 > r0: 0x8fe19154 r1: 0xbffffb34 r2: 0x24000282 r3: 0x0000171c > r4: 0x00000000 r5: 0x00000000 r6: 0xbffff9f0 r7: 0xbffff9f4 > r8: 0x00000000 r9: 0x00000000 r10: 0x00000004 r11: 0x00000000 > r12: 0x0000171c r13: 0x00000000 r14: 0x00000000 r15: 0x00000000 > r16: 0x00000000 r17: 0x00000000 r18: 0x00000000 r19: 0x00000000 > r20: 0x00000000 r21: 0x00000000 r22: 0x00000000 r23: 0x00000000 > r24: 0x00000000 r25: 0x00000000 r26: 0xbffffb30 r27: 0xbffffb6c > r28: 0xbffffb38 r29: 0x0000000c r30: 0x00001000 r31: 0x00000000 Any ideas? -- Rohan Lloyd ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
