Since this is not happening on my system, I'm going to need some additional information to debug this problem. If you're willing to help, here's what I need you to do:
(1) Run Console (in /Applications/Utilities) at the same time that you run FinkCommander. Copy any messages that appear in the Console when you attempt to use the Package Inspector and FinkCommander crashes. Paste the messages into an email and send them to me at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (2) Select a package in the table and then select "Email Package Maintainer" from the Help menu. Let me know if that also causes FinkCommander to crash. If it does, send me the Console messages for that problem as well.
