Hi Martin, Very strange problem: if I run fink install emacs21 then the configure thinks it has to take /lib/cpp. But if I suspend the fink install just before the configure and give exactly the same command on the command line (as root) it works perfectly well. Could there be a permission difference between sudo (fink) and root (command line)? Any idea where it could arise? I wonder if someone else will run into the same problem.
Thanks a lot. cheers, Remi On Saturday, October 5, 2002, at 03:50 PM, Martin Costabel wrote: > Remi Mommsen wrote: > [] >> creating lib-src/Makefile >> ./config.status: /lib/cpp: No such file or directory > > Something must have gone wrong when configure tried to guess the > machine type.
