curl -V gives me:You have never said which curl you are using ("which curl"). curl-7.7.2 is Apple's curl in /usr/bin. If yours is /sw/bin/curl from fink (as opposed to something more exotic in /usr/local/bin, for example), then "fink remove curl" might solve the problem. If this is the case, you should tell the curl maintainer about it.
curl 7.10 (powerpc-apple-darwin6.1) libcurl/7.10 ipv6 zlib/1.1.3
Hmmm... interestingly, curl -V on my desktop machine gives me an earlier version:
curl 7.7.2 (powerpc-apple-darwin6.0) libcurl 7.7.2 (OpenSSL 0.9.6b)
