I'm trying to update my xfree86-base package, but Fink doesn't seem to
recognize that there's a new version available, let alone a new version of
Fink. What follows is the output of four fink commands. Any ideas?

Your Fink installation is set up to update package descriptions directly
from CVS. Do you want to use this setup and update now? [Y/n] I will now run
the cvs command to retrieve the latest package descriptions. The 'su'
command will be used to run the cvs command as the user 'ian'. After that,
the core packages will be updated right away; you should then update the
other packages using commands like 'fink update-all'.

su ian -c 'cvs -z3 update -d -P'
? stamp-rel-0.4.0
? dists/stable/crypto/finkinfo/curl-ssl-7.9.2-2.info
? dists/stable/crypto/finkinfo/egd-0.8-1.info
[snip]
? dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm/xfce-3.8.10-1.info
? dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm/xfce-3.8.10-1.patch

The core packages have been updated. You should now update the other
packages using commands like 'fink update-all'.

ian % fink update-all
