Second, there are postgresql packages in fink, why not try them? If you want to do it yourself, at least look at the fink patches before asking on the list. Fink exists so you don't have to run into these kinds of problems yourself. ;)
I had to patch postgresql's build a bit to make it generate proper libraries, out of the box postgresql's build will for the most part work, but needs some handholding and is a bit anemic.
