I'll let those wiser than I tell me if this has anything to do with
fink or not. Its not really a problem with fink or mozilla or even
apple or java; its just getting them to cooperate.

I have installed two Mozillas -- one through fink and the Mac OS X
application. I am current through selfupdate-cvs and update-all. I am
using KDE.

One of the reasons I installed Mozilla for use with fink was that
Konqueror behaved very oddly with regard to Java. My java testing
consists of http://www.freecell.com/f/c/javagame.html which works
under Solaris and with either M$ or Suns Windows Java installed. The
current Mac Java screws up. I have downloaded the more recent Apple
Developers Java but have no idea how to make any web browser use it.

In any case, even when run through KDE Konqueror (the web browser that
comes with KDE) would start up
Apple's Java. It was a bit odd as I run X full screen instead of
rootless because I'm on an iMac and the screen is small, it took me a
while to realize that it was running the java app on the Aqua desktop
not the X desktop. So effectively my Mac app Mozilla and Konqueror
would start apples Java, while my fink installed Mozilla has no
plugins -- and I have not idea how to get the plugins to work out of X.

Is there anyway to get the fink installed Mozilla to use plugins --
designed to run under X?

Is there any Java that can be installed through fink or will I remain
limited so that I can't run Java under X?

I feel like I'm missing something. Though maybe I'm just expecting my
iMac to run to many things simultaneously.
