To get a really solid backup it comes down to having a tape drive and a copy of Retrospect. You rotate you media in case one tape fails and take a backup copy off site. A backup doesn't help if it burns up with the rest of your office. This may be overkill for home users(I don't do it), but if your data is more valuable than your computer, it is the only way to go.
