My system.log file (/var/log/system.log) is full of messages concerning
the prebinding
of executables in /sw/bin, like the following:
Dec 27 23:48:10 cubelet /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: /sw/bin/tail could
not be launched prebound.
Dec 27 23:48:10 cubelet /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: /sw/bin/tail
couldn't be prebound in the past, and probably can't be prebound now.
Dec 27 23:48:10 cubelet /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: 2002-12-27
23:48:10 +0100: prebinding for tail done.
Dec 27 23:56:40 cubelet /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: /sw/bin/ls could
not be launched prebound.
Dec 27 23:56:40 cubelet /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: /sw/bin/ls
couldn't be prebound in the past, and probably can't be prebound now.
Dec 27 23:56:40 cubelet /usr/libexec/fix_prebinding: 2002-12-27
23:56:40 +0100: prebinding for ls done.
repeated tens of times. (In fact, my system.log increased from about 1K
to a few Mb).
Is this normal? If not, what could the problem be and how can it be
fixed?
