After two failures installing QT3 with similar outcomes, the QT-3.1.1-2 patches did the trick for me as well. Thanks for the clear instructions on where to place them. Looking forward to trying the new KDE, once my CPU cools down enough, after compiling it, to enter the room. Thanks for your hard work.
