Hey all,

I'm having some problems getting gimp to work since moving over to 10.2.3.

Here is were it bombs out:

libgimp/.libs -L/sw/lib -L/sw/lib -o gimp-remote-1.2 gimp-remote.o -L/sw/lib -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lgtk -lgdk -lgmodule -lglib -ldl -lintl -lXext -lX11 -lm -lXmu -lXt -lSM -lICE -L/sw/src/gimp-1.2.3-10/gimp-1.2.3/libgimp/.libs -L/sw/src/gimp-1.2.3-10/gimp-1.2.3/plug-ins/libgck/gck/.libs
mkdir .libs
libtool: link: `/lib/libintl.la' is not a valid libtool archive
It is clear that some broken pathname is involved here (or do you have a "/lib" directory on your system?). Hard to start guessing what is really happening. Things to check:
- what did the configure phase say about "libintl"?
- are the fink auto* packages up to date?
- does rebuilding gettext help?
- is a previous version of gimp installed, and does removing it first help?
