I'm still having trouble finking my Jaguar (10.2.3) iBook (this is after previous screwage and clean slating via sudo rm -rf /sw). I have <http://www.apple.com/macosx/x11/download/> installed. I've ran <http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/*checkout*/fink/fix-fink/install_name_fix.pl> as well. I use the Fink 0.5.1 Binary Installer, run fink selfupdate (from CVS), then fink update-all. Works well so far.
When I do sudo dselect, and try installing stuff which depens on X11 (system-xfree installed) the system poops out with the following dependencies unresolved: - found apple library - found X plugin includes - found /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm - found /usr/X11R6/bin/xrdb - found /usr/X11R6/bin/rman - missing /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.dylib - missing /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.dylib - missing /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.dylib - missing /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xlib.h Your XFree86 installation is missing or incomplete. Please make sure you have an XFree86 release installed and retry the installation of the system-xfree86 package. What gives? This is unnessarily complicated. Should I just give fink the finger, and go back go to ./configure && make && sudo make install ? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! http://www.vasoftware.com _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
