Version 5 of doxygen now depends on a new package "fancyhdr" which installs
an appropriate version of fancyhdr.sty ... so yes, you can remove the
workaround copy (and you probably should so that when this is correctly
fixed someday, you'll go back to an up-to-date fancyhdr).

Actually, the binary distribution is built on an 800 MHz G4 iMac, and it
takes around 4 or 5 days to build the whole thing.
