Hi. This is a holdover from the old tetex, which I was trying to coordinate very closely with Gerben Wierda's distribution. I made the choice of /sw/etc for the texmf.local directory because there was a chance that Wierda's distribution would write to that directory outside of the control of Fink. (When you install system-tetex, it is symlinked into /usr/local rather than into /sw/share.) Maybe someday I'll migrate all of the other tex packages back to /sw/share/texmf-local where they belong, but for now, this retains good compatibility with the setups that folks already have. -- Dave ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! http://www.vasoftware.com _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
