mgv is a super program. At last I can have 'reverse video' postscript. Sooo easy on the eyes. mgv is also more stable than ghostview vis a vis mashing the keyboard, which is nice. But that said, there are a couple of problems I've noticed... unless I am being a bonehead, which is always a possibility... or likelihood even.
This is what the relevant portion of my Xdefaults looks like: mgv*defaultPageMedia:letter mgv*center:true mgv*resetScrollBars:none mgv*magicResistance:2 mgv*magstep:4 mgv*scrollPercentage:10% mgv*smoothScrolling:0 mgv*hidePageList:1 mgv*hideToolBar:1 mgv*hideMenuBar:1 mgv*hideStatusLine:1 mgv*foreground:white mgv*background:black The problems: default page media selection appears to have no effect. center true appears to have no effect. Also, scrolling "up" (with the up arrow no less) seems to always rocket me past the top of the page. Down is on the other hand fine. Probably this is not a problem, but I just don't know the right syntax to change the behavior. One other mildly annoying thing is that opening or reloading a file sometimes (I think only the first time with a given file but I am not sure about that) causes the page list to reappear. Any assistance/forwarding to the appropriate people is appreciated. Joe ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SlickEdit Inc. Develop an edge.
