Hello, Does any one use Ximian Evolution 1.2.2 (fink cvs updated daily) with IMAP? Speratically (@ least once on most days) Evo gets in a state where it is "Pinging IMAP server SERVER.COM (...)". In this case, evolution will not even shut down properly: bash-2.05a$ Waiting for component to die -- OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Mail_ShellComponent (1) Waiting for component to die -- OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Mail_ShellComponent (2) Waiting for component to die -- OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Mail_ShellComponent (3) Waiting for component to die -- OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Mail_ShellComponent (4) Waiting for component to die -- OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Mail_ShellComponent (5) Waiting for component to die -- OAFIID:GNOME_Evolution_Mail_ShellComponent (6)
It appears that this will be repeated indefinitely. I have and do use Evo on Linux and never experience this problem there. Any recommendations on how to debug this? Is there a doc or notes on first grabbing some useful info at runtime and then taking it from there? I read "Using Fink: A Developer's How-To" by David R. Morrison. It is very good, but does not cover this topic. I guess a porter would already have these mad skillz 8) Thank you for your attention. -- Lloyd D Budd <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The debugger for complex code.
