I'm not able to update KDevelop from /unstable because building kdelibs3-3.1.1-1 fails. Is this a known issue? If so, what's the fix?
You are going to have to be more specific... There was a bug in kde building that got fixed sometime yesterday, have you tried a selfupdate-cvs ?
So, I did the selfupdate and tried to rebuild kdevelop again and got a LONG build (over 1 hour?), ending with the same break as it had before. Here's the last compiler command that ran:
g++ -Wnon-virtual-dtor -Wno-long-long -Wundef -Wall -pedantic -W -Wpointer-arith -Wmissing-prototypes -Wwrite-strings -Os -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -DQT_NO_TRANSLATION -DQT_CLEAN_NAMESPACE -DQT_NO_ASCII_CAST -DQT_NO_COMPAT -o .libs/libkhtml.la.closure .libs/libkhtml_la_closure.o .libs/libkhtml_la.all_cpp.o .libs/libkhtml_la.all_cc.o -Wl,-bind_at_load -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/sw/lib ./xml/.libs/libkhtmlxml.a ./html/.libs/libkhtmlhtml.a ./rendering/.libs/libkhtmlrender.a ./css/.libs/libkhtmlcss.a ./misc/.libs/libkhtmlmisc.a /sw/lib/libjpeg.dylib ./dom/.libs/libkhtmldom.a ./java/.libs/libkjava.a ../kio/.libs/libkio.dylib ../kparts/.libs/libkparts.dylib ../kdeprint/.libs/libkdeprint.dylib /sw/src/kdelibs3-3.1.1-2/kdelibs-3.1.1/kparts/.libs/libkparts.dylib ../kutils/.libs/libkutils.dylib /sw/src/kdelibs3-3.1.1-2/kdelibs-3.1.1/kio/.libs/libkio.dylib /sw/src/kdelibs3-3.1.1-2/kdelibs-3.1.1/kdeui/.libs/libkdeui.dylib /sw/src/kdelibs3-3.1.1-2/kdelibs-3.1.1/kdesu/.libs/libkdesu.dylib /sw/src/kdelibs3-3.1.1-2/kdelibs-3.1.1/kdecore/.libs/libkdecore.dylib /sw/src/kdelibs3-3.1.1-2/kdelibs-3.1.1/dcop/.libs/libDCOP.dylib -ldl -lXinerama /sw/lib/libart_lgpl_2.dylib /sw/src/kdelibs3-3.1.1-2/kdelibs-3.1.1/kdefx/.libs/libkdefx.dylib -lqt-mt -lpng -lm -lXext -lX11 -lSM -lICE -lpthread -lXrender -lz

The full listing is far too long to post here, but I don't see any obvious errors farther up. What do the "llibkhtml.la.closure" and the "execution of var/tmp..." errors mean?
Are others having this problem? What do I do now?
