Jens: A lyx-qt package is not feasible right now. Since lyx 1.3 won't compile with apple's gcc 3.1, we currently use g++2 (gcc 2.95) to compile it. Due to incompatibilities in the c++ ABI between g++2 and g++3, this requires all c++ libs that lyx links to be compiled with g++2. So, in order to get lyx-qt to work, qt would have to be compiled with g++2 (this is in the http://www.18james.com/lyx_on_osx.html instructions). I don't think we want to mess with the qt package just to get lyx-qt to work - it's probably better to wait for gcc 3.3 (which hopefully fixes the bug that prevents lyx from compiling).
