Hello Daniel!

At this moment I am playing around with gpsdrive 2.0pre9 not problems until no.
I was able to load maps and everything looks good to me (just testing for 10 minutes)

Think you should drop gpsdrive 1.32 and put gpsdrive 2.0 into unstable cvs.

Bye,
Christoph

Hello Daniel!

Just installed gpsdrive 1.32-2 and it crashes everytime when I want to download a map from mapblast :-(

This is what I get:
*** malloc[647]: error for object 0x76c9d0: Incorrect checksum for freed object - object was probably modified after being freed; break at szone_error
Segmentation fault

When I use expedia i get a message about "msrvmaps.mappoint.com FEHLGESCHLAGEN" (german for aborted or impossible)

Hope this helps, bye
Chirstoph

P.S. The gpsd works as a charm.

I just upgraded the Fink package to 1.32-2 with the new URL (using the
patch in msg02434), so just update your unstable and give it a try. Right
now, the Sourceforge CVS server has a big propagation delay, so the new
revision may not appear for a day or two.

: How can I try gpsdrive 2.0 it is not in cvs of fink. (I am running fink
: unstable)

Actually, there is a 2.0pre9 there, in my experimental directory, but the
experimental branch is hugely more unstable than "unstable" (things may
not compile and may break all kinds of fink packaging rules, etc., so
enabling it is not well documented. But if you want to give 2.0pre9-7 a
try, SF CVS is lagging, so I'm keeping some snapshots mirrored in
<http://www.netspace.org/~dmacks/gpsdrive>. You're welcome to grab the
latest .info and .patch from there and manually copy them into your Fink
tree. There's a FAQ on the Fink website that explains how to install items
in local/main. The .info has a bunch of my notes about what works (and
not) for purposes of porting to OS X. If you need more help, feel free to
ask me (if it seems like an OS X issue) or on the gpsdrive mailing list.
