Hi Brendan. You've found an error in the new gettext package. I've
fixed is in a new version (0.10.40-6), but due to the CVS problems at
sourceforge, you won't be able to get the new version for 24 hours or
so.
You have two options (other than waiting!):
1) As a workaround, try
cd /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/base
followed by
sudo dpkg -i gettext-bin_0.10.40-5_darwin-powerpc.deb
gettext_0.10.40-5_darwin-powerpc.deb
(by installing these at the same moment, we hopefully avoid the problem
that gettext.info is in a different package than the scripts expect)
2) Update to gettext-0.10.40-6, after grabbing the .info and .patch files
from my website http://www.cgtp.duke.edu/~drm/software/fink/ and storing
them in /sw/fink/dists/local/main/finkinfo/
