Oh goody, thank you for this (system-xfree86-42/3 split). I have xfree86-4.3 installed from binaries (on top of Apple's X11 beta3, but that order of things seems to work OK for me) and I installed system-xfree86-43 following the instructions from Martin via Alex (this list is the only one I read regularly).
I hoped it would allow me to update mozilla to unstable (1.1.0-4 up to 1.3-2), but no, it still wants to install xfree86 and xfree86-shlibs. Am I being impatient and should just wait for patch/info to be updated, or is there some reason why unstable mozilla requires fink installed xfree86? Or maybe I made bad choices for the dependency questions: (1) pango1-dev: I18N text handling system convinience package (2) pango1-xft1-dev: I18N text handling system: for XFree86 (<< 4.3) (3) pango1-xft2-dev: I18N text handling system: for XFree86 (>= 4.3) Pick one: [1] <- I picked 3 fink needs help picking an alternative to satisfy a virtual dependency.
