OS X 10.2.6, fink Package manager version: 0.13.7, Distribution version: 0.5.3.cvs. Dev Tools Dec 2002. gcc 3.1 Apparently python update is not registered from fink. I believe I have seen a post about this already but missed a followup. Here is a transcript on my machine:

The prefix was - apparently - an attempt to make fink update from 2.3b2 to 2.3 which otherwise fink saw that as a downgrade rather...
