I just upgraded to g77 v. 3.4 in the cvs stable branch. I've been using g77 3.1 and before that 2.95 along with the December 2002 Developer tools with no problems. With g77 3.4, about 2/3 of my fortran programs in CCP4 now fail to compile.
Before I sink a lot of time into this, I wanted to ask if there was anything fundamentally different about 3.4 vs. 3.1, and if I should have updated to gcc 3.3 with the August 2003 developer tools update. (I had steered clear of this patch because it broke 3.1.)
