Do you have /sw/include/libintl.h? It should have been installed by the gettext-dev package.
Well this is interesting. I had libintl.h as of the last time locate ran:
[/sw/src] root# locate libintl.h
/sw/include/libintl.h
However it's not there now: [/sw/src] root# ls -l /sw/include/libintl.h ls: /sw/include/libintl.h: No such file or directory
And it does not look like gettext-dev has it: [/sw/src] root# dpkg -L gettext-dev /. /sw /sw/share /sw/share/doc /sw/share/doc/gettext-dev /sw/share/doc/gettext-dev/README
[/sw/src] root# cat /sw/share/doc/gettext-dev/README
gettext-dev is a bundle package that doesn't install any files of its own.
And no package that I currently have installed has it: [/sw/src] root# dpkg -S libintl.h dpkg: *libintl.h* not found.
So where did it go? How do I get it back?

Do you have /sw/include/libintl.h? It should have been installed by the gettext-dev package.
