[Fink-users] XMMS - again

I had read the thread 
(http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=6431462) 
describing a problem where plugins were missing, and songs could not be 
added to the playlist.  I am having this same exact problem.  I have 
done a 'fink selfupdate' and 'fink update xmms', but there was nothing 
to update, so I am still in the same situation

My fink version info:
Package manager version: 0.16.2
Distribution version: 0.6.2.cvs
And I am running OS X (10.3.1).  I had also completely wiped out my 
fink install then started over from scratch in Panther to avoid any 
problems with unsupported apps, etc...  I also, installed xmms from 
source (fink install xmms), then rebuilt it just earlier incase there 
was a problem the first time.  Do I need to install from the binary as 
someone might have mentioned?

Does anybody know how to get past this issue?
