Fixed. I overwrote the binary installation of qt3-shlibs (3.2.1-12) with the source stable version (3.2.2-11). A compile of over an hour. Now KDE apps work.
I suggest the maintainer brings the stable source code version to the binary tree a.s.a.p. (with all my respect for the effort done so far).
I suggest you file a bug on the fink bug tracker. I asked for this many times, but nobody listens to me :-(
