That wouldn't show up in the PATH--it gets set up when the build is run.

You aren't supposed to be able to have Apple's X11 and XFree86 together. What do you get from running

fink list -i xfree86

(This will answer two questions for me).

I installed fink's version of xfree86, so I assumed that it would use that. However, from looking at the path (/usr/X11R6/...) it doesn't look like it's getting its includes from a subdirectory in /sw. Is there a way I can make sure that my system uses fink's version of X11, removing apple's if necessary?

Thanks,

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone else has run into an error installing vim. I'm running Panther. I installed fink from source after having trouble with the binary package. Everything seemed to work fine. Anway, when I install vim, it installs all the dependencies fine until it gets to the actual vim package. After compiling the vim package for a while, it exits with the following error:

mbyte.c: In function `mb_init':
mbyte.c:532: error: conflicting types for `_Xmblen'
/usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xlib.h:99: error: previous declaration of `_Xmblen'
mbyte.c:532: warning: extern declaration of `_Xmblen' doesn't match global one
make: *** [objects/mbyte.o] Error 1
### execution of (cd failed, exit code 2
Failed: compiling vim-6.1-16 failed

Anybody have any ideas as to how I might fix this?

Thanks,
