In the linux world, you can set multiple IP addresses to a single interface. For example, if I have eth0 = 192.168.1.1, I could set eth0:1 = 10.0.0.1.
How do I do that on a mac? i.e., I want to create an en1:1 and set an ip address for it.
This is pretty far afield for the Fink list. You could try the darwinos-users list (http://lists.apple.com), or the macosx-admin list (http://omnigroup.com). If you do, you might try adding a little more information to your question, like what version of what operating system you are using. "on a mac" is fairly vague.
