I am afraid that didn't work either. It is still trying to find a mirror, namely sourceforge:

Spinnaker% sudo fink install fink-mirrors

The following package will be installed or updated:
 fink-mirrors
Failed: No mirror site list file found for mirror 'sourceforge'.
Spinnaker%

For what it's worth:

Spinnaker% sudo fink list fink

I'm afraid to say it, but this doesn't work either, with a similar
error message:

If you put fink-mirrors-0.0.2.tar.gz into /sw/src/, then fink will find it without looking for a mirror. In this case, "fink install fink-mirrors" should work.
