Hi List,

new question new mail so here it is.

Is it possible that changes I make to the gnome applications menu
take effect during a gnome session? E.g. I add
soffice the start-up file for OpenOffice.org1.1.0 to the
applications menu and to see it in the applications menu I have to
Log-out of gnome which ends the gnome session and shuts down
XDarwin too
and after a restart of XDarwin and gnome2.4 the changes take
effect. With enligthenment it was possibel to simply restart
enlightenment and all the changes took effect, you needn't shut
down XDarwin.

My .xinitrc has exec gnome-session in it to start-up gnome2.4 when
XDarwin starts up. May this cause the behaviour above and if so
need is there any more inteligent way of starting up gnome and
avoid the behaviour I don't want.

Regards,
Eric Hoch
