So you are saying that I can take system-ghostscript8 from 10.2-gcc3.3 branch and modify it.
I didn't really say it, but it is a good idea. Try it and then tell us if it worked :-) If it works, it will certainly migrate to the 10.3 tree rather quickly.
And what about all these packages that depend from system-ghostscript?? Will be they all satisfied?
I think so, yes. The question is more whether all those symbolic links that the package creates will be correct.
