I cannot use the print routines (cups) from the gui in gnome office 2.4 (apps gedit or gnumeric are the ones I have tried) to print. I thought I remembered someone else complaining about this in the list, but I could not find it when I searched the last couple of months for the message. I can print from those apps like xemacs or abiword that use lpr, and I can print files from the command line while in GNOME 2.4. Does anyone else have problems with cups and printing from the gui?

I was having trouble with fonts which I have fixed when I discovered the print problem, so I thought perhaps I had broken something. I therefore purged bundle-gnome and bundle-gnome-office and recompiled and installed them from source. My setup is:

Package manager version: 0.19.1
Distribution version: 0.6.2.cvs
Apple X11
OSX 10.3.2
iMac DV 400 MHz
all current Dev tools and X11 SDK

When I load gnumeric I get the following warnings. I don't think this is a problem as gnumeric loads, and I can change fonts within the program at will.

This like I may have some font problems still? Then error log continues with:

When I execute the print button I get the following error messages which go on for a while with different lines:
