Has anybody tried this yet? If it works it would be cool to see this in 10.3 unstable (hello developers?) ;-)
I don't know if this has an impact on the choice of the package mantainer, but an OS X installer is ready for alpha 15.
On my PowerMac, I still have the Fink installed alpha 14 coming from the 10.2x tree. It works ok for burning (CDs and DVDs), but it lost the ability to read disk (but I use Disk utility to create images).
I installed the alpha 15 on my iBook and the only time I tried it, burning (CD) failed miserably...
You can however switch back to the 10.2 tree for a moment, install alpha 14, than switch "forward" to 10.3. This worked for me.
