I'm using a fairly new panther install. I just today installed fink. I tried to install gnucash. most packages installed fine, but 'slib' seems to be hanging it up:
Setting up slib (2d6-1) ...
install-info: unrecognized option `--description=The SLIB portable Scheme library'
Try `install-info --help' for a complete list of options.
dpkg: error processing slib (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
I bet your PATH is not set up correctly... this is mine:
/sw/bin:/sw/sbin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/X11R6/bin
I assume that you either do not have /sw/sbin in your path, or you have it in your path after /usr/bin.
