Hi Kim,

I am running fink on a number of panther systems. When I run dselect now after upgrading to the 10.3/release I only ever see the packages that are installed. I never see any other packages in dselect. How do I fix that?

Here is an extract from /sw/etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://us.dl.sourceforge.net/fink/direct_download 10.3/release main crypto
deb http://us.dl.sourceforge.net/fink/direct_download 10.3/current main crypto

Have you run 'sudo apt-get update' after upgrading?

Yes, and 'fink scanpackages'.

No change.

Maybe this applies to you (especially since you did an upgrade):
http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/usage-fink.php?phpLang=en#wrong-tree

As suggested by the web page I ran :

$ sudo /sw/lib/fink/postinstall.pl
Checking system... powerpc-apple-darwin7.3.0
This system was not released at the time this Fink release was made, but
should work.
ln -s 10.3 /sw/fink/dists
$

No Change. I still only see packages installed in dselect.

$ fink -V
Package manager version: 0.18.3
Distribution version: 0.6.2

I have updated and upgraded.

Something odd is going on: you did an update and a dist-upgrade after running postinstall.pl? Then your Fink should have been updated to 0.7.0, since that's the latest version.
