Hi,
I use the impad installed with Pine with Mail.app on Panther (no SSL).
The installation has been working nicely for the last few months, but yesterday I broke something and I cannot authentify myself correclty anymore (me or any other user on the machine).
Other packages included with Panther are still working (I can use ssh, ftp etc..)
what is the authentify method used by this imapd ?

Ps : I think I broke something using passwd or smbpasswd, but I cannot figure the link... (Of course I have checked that my passwords are correct)
I had a similar problem, and wound up having to create (as root) a file called /private/etc/cram-md5.pwd with my username and IMAP password in it as follows:
username password
